How it is given

Adult administration

As Diclofenac Beta-Dimethylaminoethanol, 90 mg is to be deeply injected into the upper part of one side of the buttock per day. In severe cases, 90 mg may be administered twice a day, alternating injections in both sides of the buttock. After the initial treatment phase, administration may be switched to tablets or suppositories. Adjustments should be made according to age, condition, and symptoms. To minimize cardiovascular adverse reactions, the minimum effective dose should be used for the shortest duration possible.

Precautions

This medication may occasionally cause serious gastrointestinal problems, such as gastrointestinal bleeding; therefore, individuals who consume alcohol daily should consult with a physician or pharmacist before use. This medication may increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases such as heart attack or stroke, so caution is advised for those with cardiovascular disease or risk factors. Patients with a history of peptic ulcers, severe liver or kidney disease, severe hypertension, or congestive heart failure should ideally avoid using this medication. Patients with a history of gastrointestinal bleeding or ulcers, the elderly, children, or individuals with asthma should be particularly cautious when using this medication, and any unusual symptoms should prompt immediate consultation with a healthcare professional. This medication can cause severe chest pain or difficulty breathing in cases of severe allergic reactions, so if allergy symptoms occur, it should be discontinued immediately and medical attention sought. When using ampule injections, care should be taken to avoid the inclusion of glass fragments, especially in children or the elderly. Use during pregnancy, especially in the later stages, should be avoided as it may harm the fetus. If breastfeeding, it is also recommended to discontinue breastfeeding or the medication to avoid affecting the baby. This medication may increase the risk of side effects when taken with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), so it is advisable not to use them together. During prolonged use, regular blood tests and checks on liver and kidney function should be carried out to monitor for abnormalities, and attention should be paid to excessive body temperature drops, hypotension, or cold extremities. Patients with hypertension or heart failure should closely monitor for blood pressure changes and edema after taking this medication. While this medication helps relieve pain and inflammation, it does not address the underlying cause and should be used with fundamental treatment methods, preferably for the shortest duration at the minimum effective dosage. If serious adverse reactions such as skin rashes, fever, swollen lymph nodes occur, the medication should be discontinued immediately, and medical consultation should be sought.
