For example, it is contraindicated for those allergic to this medication or similar medications, women who are pregnant or nursing, patients with heart function problems, those with severe liver or kidney disease, patients who have recently experienced a myocardial infarction, and children and adolescents under 18 years old. Patients with a cardiac pacemaker or reduced heart function, mild to moderate liver or kidney impairment, a history of angina, those who consume alcohol, and elderly patients should be monitored closely. Taking this medication may cause side effects such as facial flushing, peripheral edema, palpitations, headache, dizziness, dyspepsia, nausea, and liver function abnormalities. Abruptly discontinuing this medication can worsen symptoms, so it should be tapered off gradually under a physician's guidance. Additionally, dizziness or drowsiness may occur, necessitating caution while driving or operating machinery. This medication is metabolized in the liver, and interactions can occur when taken with certain drugs. Specifically, certain antifungals, antibiotics, anticonvulsants, and grapefruit juice can affect its efficacy, so it is advised not to take them together. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, as well as those who are nursing, should not take this medication and must use appropriate contraceptive methods. Due to insufficient clinical trial data, this medication should not be used in children and adolescents. For the elderly, no special dosage adjustments are necessary, although caution is advised during initial administration.
