Relief of itching and inflammation in corticoid-responsive skin diseases
This medication is used to relieve itching and inflammation caused by corticoid-responsive skin conditions. It reduces the skin's inflammatory response and improves itching, alleviating discomfort for the patient. This effect helps improve skin condition quickly.
Apply a thin layer to the affected area once daily and gently rub it in until fully absorbed. Avoid the use of occlusive dressings.
This medication has the effect of reducing skin inflammation; however, it should not be used in patients with certain skin infections, as it may worsen symptoms. Patients with allergies or hypersensitivity to this medication or its ingredients should not be administered this medication. In patients with external otitis who have a perforated eardrum, caution is required as it may slow the healing of wounds. Avoid using in patients with skin ulcers, severe burns, or frostbite, as it may hinder skin regeneration. It is advisable not to use the medication in patients with perioral dermatitis, acne vulgaris, or rosacea (facial redness) as it may exacerbate symptoms. Avoid use in patients experiencing itching around the anus or genitals. It should not be used in infants under 2 years of age, as safety has not been established. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant and nursing mothers should use this medication with caution, and it should be used minimally based on the physician's judgment if necessary. Children and the elderly should be more cautious, as the effects of the medication may differ in their bodies. Prolonged or extensive use of this medication may lead to skin infections, thinning of the skin, pigmentation changes, and side effects such as acne. Extra caution is necessary, particularly when using occlusive dressings, as this may increase the risk of skin infection. If absorbed systemically, it could affect hormone balance, so regular testing may be necessary during long-term use. When using around the eyes, caution is advised as it may cause increased intraocular pressure or eye diseases such as glaucoma. For inflammation accompanied by skin infections, this medication should not be used alone; it should be used together with appropriate antibiotics or antifungals. It is recommended to stop using the medication as soon as symptoms improve, and if symptoms worsen, it should be discontinued immediately. This medication is not to be used for ophthalmic purposes, nor should it be used for cosmetic purposes such as applying after shaving. Do not use occlusive dressings without a doctor’s orders, and ensure that the affected area is clean before use. Store out of the reach of children to prevent accidents. There is insufficient data regarding the effects of this medication on the fetus during pregnancy, so pregnant women should exercise particular caution. In pediatric patients, due to greater drug absorption relative to body surface area, hormone suppression or growth disorders may occur; thus, prolonged use beyond 3 weeks should be avoided. Elderly patients have a higher risk of experiencing side effects, so their condition should be closely monitored during use.
Bacterial, fungal, or viral skin infections; severe allergic reactions; worsening of infections; HPA axis suppression due to widespread use (hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal suppression); blurred vision and visual disturbances; systemic adverse reactions
Not everyone experiences these, and they can vary from person to person.
This medication may be sensitive to air or moisture, so it should be stored in a tightly sealed container. It is best to maintain a storage temperature between 1 to 30 degrees Celsius.
