This medication is used for painful muscle spasms accompanying musculoskeletal disorders, such as cervical radiculopathy, adhesive capsulitis, and low back pain. It is also effective for spastic paralysis due to neurological disorders, being used for various central nervous system diseases including cerebrovascular disorders, spastic spinal paralysis, cervical spondylosis, postoperative sequelae (including brain and spinal tumors), post-traumatic sequelae (spinal cord injury, head trauma), amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, cerebral palsy, spinal cerebellar degeneration, spinal vascular disorders, subacute spinal radiculoneuropathy, and others. This drug alleviates muscle stiffness and reduces pain, improving the patient's mobility and daily life.

How to take

Adult dose

Administer 50 mg of Eperisone Hydrochloride orally three times daily after meals. Adjust dosage appropriately according to age and symptoms.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with allergic reactions or severe myasthenia gravis. This medication contains lactose, and patients with lactose intolerance should not take it. Patients with a history of drug allergies or impaired liver function should use this medication with caution. Rarely, during the use of this medication, shock, liver dysfunction, kidney function impairment, and blood problems may occur, so in case symptoms arise, it is necessary to stop taking it immediately and consult a physician. Various side effects such as skin rash, itching, insomnia, drowsiness, headache, dyspepsia, urinary issues, weakness should be closely monitored. In particular, if serious skin adverse reactions such as fever, erythema, blisters, itching, eye congestion, or stomatitis occur, stop taking the medication immediately and inform medical personnel. Drowsiness or decreased concentration may occur during the use of this medication, so it is advisable to avoid driving or operating dangerous machinery. Care should be taken when taking this medication with similar drugs or certain muscle relaxants, as it may cause visual disturbances. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should only take this medication when the benefits outweigh the risks because its safety is not assured. Breastfeeding women are advised to avoid taking this medication; if it must be taken, breastfeeding should be discontinued. In children, the safety of this medication has not been sufficiently verified, so caution is needed. In the elderly, physical functions may be weakened, so dosing should be adjusted with caution.
