This medication is used for the treatment of myocardial ischemia caused by stable angina due to fixed occlusion of the coronary arteries and variant angina caused by spasm of the coronary blood vessels.

How to take

Adult dose

Amlodipine 5 mg is to be taken orally once daily, and if symptoms do not improve within 2 to 4 weeks, the dosage may be increased to a maximum of 10 mg daily according to the patient's response. Adjust as needed based on symptoms.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in certain patients. For example, it can be dangerous for individuals who are allergic to this medication or its components, pregnant or breastfeeding women, or patients with severely compromised heart or liver function. Additionally, patients with severely decreased kidney function, elderly individuals, or those with acute heart failure should use this medication with caution.
