This medication is used to prevent and treat iron deficiency anemia. It improves the anemic condition caused by iron deficiency, enhancing the blood's ability to carry oxygen. When taken safely, it can effectively alleviate the symptoms of anemia. It is used for the prevention and treatment of iron deficiency anemia.

How to take

Adult dose

For adults and children over 12 years old, take 1 capsule once a day after meals.

Precautions

This medication can cause severe poisoning and pose a life-threatening risk if ingested in large quantities by children, so it should be stored in a safe place out of reach of children. Patients allergic to any of the components in this medication, infants under 12 months of age, patients with certain diseases related to iron metabolism, and those with cirrhosis or chronic pancreatitis should not take this medication. It is important to adhere to the prescribed dosage and administration, confirm the cause of anemia before taking this medication, and consult an expert if symptoms do not improve after a certain period of use. Hives, severe swelling (edema), chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, pallor, severe rash with fever, blisters, skin peeling, pain in oral/eye mucosa, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, asthma attack, respiratory issues accompanied by cough and fever, yellowing of skin or eyes (jaundice), profound malaise, sudden and very severe headache, thunderclap headache, seizures, confusional states, vision abnormalities, paralysis, changes in urine output.

Interactions

Drug interactions

This medication should not be taken concurrently with phosphates, calcium salts, oral tetracycline antibiotics, or antacids. Additionally, caution is advised when taking it with iron-containing preparations (iron supplements, contrast agents for MRI, etc.), aldosterone antagonists, triamterene, quinolones, penicillamine, cholestyramine, pancreatic extracts, vitamin E, diphosphonic acid salts, thyroxine, and cefdinir products, or more than 200 mg of ascorbic acid (vitamin C) together with a physician's advice.

Food interactions

This medication should be avoided during or just before and after consuming drinks containing tannins such as green tea, black tea, as well as milk and dairy products.
