Treatment of allergic and inflammatory skin conditions (eczema, contact dermatitis, etc.) and first-degree burns
This medication is used to treat various dermatitis symptoms such as eczema, contact dermatitis, atopic dermatitis, and psoriasis, which are allergic or inflammatory skin conditions often accompanied by secondary infections. It is also effective for the treatment of first-degree burns. These conditions are frequently associated with skin inflammation and itching, helping to alleviate discomfort for patients. Therefore, this medication is used to improve skin inflammation and infection symptoms and to accelerate recovery of the skin condition.
Apply an appropriate amount to the affected area 1 to 3 times a day.
This medication should not be used in patients with specific bacterial, fungal, viral, or animal skin infections as it may worsen symptoms. Patients who are allergic or hypersensitive to this medication's components should not use it. If there is perforation of the tympanic membrane, caution is advised as the healing process may be delayed if this medication is used. It should not be used in patients with ulcers, severe burns, or frostbite as skin regeneration may be inhibited and healing may be prolonged. It is advisable to avoid using this medication for skin conditions such as perioral dermatitis, common acne, and rosacea. Patients allergic to aminoglycoside antibiotics or bacitracin should not use this medication. This medication contains a component called propylene glycol; patients who are allergic or hypersensitive to this ingredient should use it cautiously. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, nursing mothers, and children should consult a doctor or pharmacist before using this medication. If any abnormal symptoms such as signs of skin infection, rash, itching, erythema, dry skin, acne, or pigmentation changes occur while using this medication, discontinue use immediately and consult a specialist. Long-term or extensive use may suppress pituitary or adrenal function, so caution is necessary. When applying around the eyes, there is a risk of increased intraocular pressure or glaucoma, and prolonged use may result in cataracts or blurred vision. Long-term use of this medication may cause side effects such as thinning of the skin, pigment changes, hirsutism, and skin atrophy, necessitating dosage adjustments. Children absorb more medication per unit body surface area compared to adults, which can lead to adrenal suppression or growth issues, thus requiring special caution. The prescribed dosage and administration should be strictly followed and used under the supervision of a guardian. Using methods such as occlusive dressing can increase systemic absorption, heightening the risk of side effects, thus it should only be done under a physician's guidance. Upon symptom improvement, use should be discontinued as soon as possible, and if symptoms do not improve after 3-4 weeks of use, other conditions should be considered. This medication should not be used for ophthalmic purposes, nor for any indications other than those stated, such as after makeup or shaving. Keep out of reach of children and do not transfer to other containers.
