Precautions

This medication may not be suitable for certain patients. For example, it should not be administered to patients who are allergic to this drug or similar medications, pregnant or breastfeeding women, patients with heart function problems, patients with severe liver or kidney diseases, patients who have recently experienced acute myocardial infarction, children, and adolescents. Additionally, patients with abnormal heart rhythms or weakened heart function, patients with mild to moderate liver or kidney impairments, patients with a history of angina pectoris, people who frequently consume alcohol, elderly individuals, and those allergic to certain dyes present in this medication should use it with caution. Since this medication lowers blood pressure, symptoms such as flushing, swelling of hands and feet, rapid heartbeat, headache, dizziness, fatigue, dyspepsia, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain may occur. It may affect liver function, so routine liver function tests should be conducted, and it may also influence kidney function, necessitating monitoring of urine output changes. Furthermore, abruptly discontinuing this medication may exacerbate symptoms, so the dosage should be gradually tapered under a physician's guidance. There may be dizziness or drowsiness when driving or operating machinery, so caution is advised. This medication is metabolized in the liver, and its effectiveness may change when taken with certain other drugs, so it is essential to consult a doctor or pharmacist. In particular, taking it with grapefruit juice or alcohol may increase side effects, so it is advisable to avoid these combinations. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, as well as breastfeeding women, should not take this medication, and it is also safer for children and adolescents under 18 not to use it. For elderly patients, special precautions are necessary during initial administration, and in the event of overdose, severe hypotension or heart problems may occur, requiring immediate medical attention. Finally, this medication should be kept out of the reach of children, and it is best not to transfer it to another container.
