Precautions

This medication is a patch containing flurbiprofen and should not be used in certain patients. First, individuals with a history of allergic reactions to this medication or other flurbiprofen formulations should not use it. Additionally, patients who have experienced asthma attacks triggered by non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, known as aspirin-induced asthma, should not use this medication. For patients with bronchial asthma, caution is needed as this may trigger an asthma attack when used. Adverse reactions may occur while using this medication, so caution is required. For example, if you experience symptoms like redness, rash, itching, burning sensation, or contact dermatitis, you should stop using it immediately. Also, if initial symptoms of asthma, such as difficulty breathing, wheezing, or dry rales occur, you should stop using it immediately and consult a healthcare professional. The treatment with this medication helps alleviate symptoms but does not treat the underlying cause. When applying to an area with a skin infection, the infection may be hidden, so antibiotics or antifungal agents should be used in conjunction, and the condition should be closely monitored. When using for chronic conditions like degenerative arthritis, consider other treatment methods in addition to medication, and closely monitor the patient's status and any occurrence of side effects. During pregnancy, especially in the first two trimesters, it is advisable not to use this medication unless absolutely necessary. If it must be used, it is safest to use the minimum effective dose for the shortest duration. In the last trimester of pregnancy, this medication should not be used as it may cause toxicity to the fetus's cardiovascular and renal systems and can lead to prolonged bleeding during delivery or delayed labor. For children, it is better to avoid use as safety has not been adequately established. For elderly patients, use with caution and closely monitor the condition of the skin. Finally, this medication should not be applied to broken skin, mucous membranes, or areas with eczema or rashes, and the area should be cleaned of sweat before application.
