This medication is used for the prevention and treatment of iron deficiency anemia. It helps improve symptoms of anemia that arise from a lack of iron and aids in the normal production of blood. It alleviates fatigue and dizziness caused by anemia, allowing patients to maintain their daily activities smoothly. Additionally, it effectively increases the body's iron storage, making it effective for long-term prevention of anemia. Therefore, it is used to improve and prevent symptoms of iron deficiency anemia.

How to take

Adult dose

For adults and children over 12 years old, take 1 capsule once daily after meals

Precautions

This medication contains iron, which can lead to serious poisoning if accidentally ingested in large amounts by children under 6 years old; thus it should be stored out of reach of children. Individuals allergic to this medication, infants under 12 months, persons with specific iron metabolism disorders, and patients with iron overload should not take this medication. It is advisable not to take this medication simultaneously with phosphates, calcium salts, certain antibiotics, or antacids. Tannins present in green tea or black tea, as well as milk and dairy products, should be avoided when taking this medication or before and after taking it. If you have certain medical conditions or are taking other medications, you should consult a doctor or pharmacist before use. If symptoms such as rash, skin eruptions, gastrointestinal disturbances, vomiting, diarrhea, black stools, or fever develop during use, stop taking the medication immediately and consult a healthcare professional. It is important to adhere to the prescribed dosage and regimen and consult a doctor or pharmacist if symptoms do not improve. Taking this medication with Vitamin C may increase iron absorption; thus it is worth noting, and patients with pernicious anemia should take it with Vitamin B12. Chronic alcohol abuse can lead to iron overload, so caution is advised. Store in a cool, dry place, tightly closed, away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children.

Interactions

Drug interactions

Do not take with phosphates, calcium salts, oral tetracycline antibiotics, or antacids. If taking iron-containing preparations (iron supplements, MRI liver contrast agents, etc.), anti-aldosterone agents, triamterene, quinolones, penicillamine, cholestyramine, pancreatic extracts, and vitamin E, disodium diphosphonates, thyroxine, cefdinir products, or 200 mg or more of ascorbic acid (vitamin C), consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Food interactions
