  • Urinary disorders
View approved original text

Urinary disorders due to benign prostatic hyperplasia are common conditions among men after middle age. This medication helps alleviate symptoms such as urinary obstruction, frequent urination, and difficulty urinating caused by prostatic enlargement. It relaxes the muscles surrounding the prostate to smooth the urine flow, thereby reducing discomfort. Additionally, it is beneficial for improving quality of life by enhancing urinary function. This drug effectively alleviates urinary disorders by regulating prostatic function. Therefore, it is used for urinary disorders associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia.

Patients with orthostatic hypotension may experience worsening symptoms and should avoid taking this drug. It is best to avoid use in patients with severely impaired liver function due to the risk of elevated blood concentration. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should not use this drug. Patients with severe kidney disease should use caution, as blood concentration may increase. Elderly patients may have reduced kidney function; therefore, treatment should begin with a low dose and progress closely monitored. Patients taking antihypertensive drugs or certain medications (such as PDE5 inhibitors and CYP3A4 inhibitors) may interact with this drug, requiring careful administration. Gastrointestinal symptoms such as dyspepsia, nausea, constipation, and diarrhea may also occur, so caution is advised. If liver dysfunction or jaundice symptoms appear, immediate treatment is necessary. This drug may lower blood pressure, so avoid overdosing, and when changing positions suddenly, dizziness may occur, necessitating slow movements. This drug is not a causal treatment but rather for symptomatic relief; if it proves ineffective, other treatment options should be considered. Caution is warranted when driving or operating dangerous machinery due to potential dizziness. When taking the medication, do not chew or open the capsule; follow prescribed administration methods. Keep it out of reach of children, and do not transfer it to another container. Pregnant women should not take this drug, and its safety and efficacy have not been confirmed for children or adolescents under 18 years of age.
