It effectively reduces oral inflammatory symptoms, improving the discomfort of patients. Therefore, this medication can assist in alleviating symptoms when there is inflammation of the oral mucosa.

Dosage

Apply an appropriate amount to the affected area once or several times a day. Adjust doses appropriately according to age and symptoms. For each affected area, apply 0.025 mg of Triamcinolone Acetonide once or twice a day on the white surface to the affected mucosa, adjusting the dosage according to age and symptoms.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with tuberculosis, viral, or other purulent infections in the mouth. Additionally, it should not be administered to patients who have had allergic reactions to this medication, or to those with syphilis, chickenpox, fungal infections, bacterial skin infections, perioral dermatitis, rosacea, or gingivitis due to vitamin C deficiency. During administration, oral infections may worsen; therefore, if there is an accompanying infection, antifungal or antibacterial agents should be used in conjunction, or the administration should be discontinued if symptoms do not improve. Some patients may experience oral numbness, taste abnormalities, or discomfort, and rarely allergic skin reactions may occur, necessitating immediate discontinuation of use if symptoms appear. Long-term use may suppress pituitary or adrenal cortex function, and conditions such as atopic dermatitis, telangiectasia, steroid acne, perioral dermatitis, and hirsutism may develop, so caution is required. It is generally not recommended to use this medication when there is an oral infection; however, if it must be used, antifungal or antibacterial agents should be used first or in combination. After administration, do not consume food immediately, as there may be a sense of estrangement in the application area. It should not be used for ophthalmic purposes, and women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should use it with caution due to potential effects on the fetus; excessive or long-term use should be avoided. In children or adolescents, prolonged or excessive use should be avoided as it may cause growth disturbances. In elderly individuals, due to decreased physiological function, there is increased risk of infections, diabetes, osteoporosis, hypertension, cataracts, and glaucoma, so careful monitoring and cautious use are necessary. For formulations applied to the oral mucosa, they must not be swallowed, and when used, saliva should be applied to the fingertips to adhere the tablet and gently press it against the mucosa for 2-3 seconds before removing the fingers. If the mucosa is wet with saliva, the adhesion may be reduced; therefore, it is advisable to lightly wipe it with gauze before use, and care should be taken as children may be able to detach the tablet with their hands.

Side effects

Oral numbness, taste abnormalities or reduction, allergic skin reactions (rarely occurring), atopic dermatitis, telangiectasia, hyperplasia (tissue changes), steroid acne, perioral dermatitis, hirsutism, candidiasis, etc. If infection is present, appropriate antifungal or antibacterial agents should be used in combination.
