Precautions

This medication should be avoided by women in the first three months of pregnancy or those who may become pregnant to prevent excess vitamin A intake. Taking more than 5,000 IU of vitamin A daily can increase the risk of congenital disabilities in the fetus. This medication contains iron, which could be toxic if children accidentally consume a large amount; therefore, it should be stored in a safe place out of reach of children. Individuals with hypercalcemia, sarcoidosis, kidney diseases, allergies to any of the components of this medication, infants under the age of 12 months, hyperkalemia, Wilson's disease, hemochromatosis, or kidney stones should not take this medication. It is best to avoid taking this medication with phosphate, calcium salts, certain antibiotics or antacids, and levodopa. Those receiving medical treatment, children who are exposed to a lot of sunlight, or individuals with certain kidney, gastrointestinal, heart, or liver diseases should consult a professional before taking this medication. Pregnant or nursing women should be cautious as excessive intake of vitamins A and D may cause side effects in the fetus or newborn. If symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, rash, fever, or difficulty breathing occur during use, stop taking the medication immediately and consult a professional. Additionally, long-term high-dose use may increase the risk of tolerance, neurological disorders, gastrointestinal disturbances, hypercalcemia, and osteoporosis; therefore, it is essential to adhere to the prescribed dosage and frequency. This medication should be administered to children under the supervision of a guardian, and special attention must be given to ensure that the daily intake of vitamin A does not exceed 5,000 IU, considering the amount obtained from food. It is advisable to avoid beverages containing tannins, such as green tea or black tea, during treatment as they may affect test results; inform healthcare personnel about the intake. Store this medication in a cool, dry place out of reach of children, away from direct sunlight, and avoid transferring to another container.
