Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus if taken during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, so it should be discontinued immediately if pregnancy is confirmed. Patients with allergies to this medication, severely impaired liver function, women of childbearing potential, and patients with hereditary angioedema should not use it. Elderly patients or those with high potassium levels or impaired liver or kidney function should use this medication cautiously, as there is a risk of a sudden drop in blood pressure. This medication can cause various side effects such as muscle cramps, dizziness, cough, dyspepsia, etc. In severe cases, serious symptoms such as angioedema, hepatitis, or renal failure may occur. Patients with liver dysfunction may need dosage adjustments due to increased blood concentration of this medication, and patients with poor kidney function should also use it cautiously. Taking potassium-supplementing medications or potassium-rich foods can dangerously elevate serum potassium levels, so consultation with a doctor is essential. Caution is also needed when combined with other antihypertensives, diuretics, or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, as interactions may reduce effectiveness or increase the risk of side effects. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should avoid this medication; if it is absolutely necessary to take, consulting a specialist and stopping breastfeeding is advised. Children, especially those under 6 years old or with very low kidney function, should not use this medication due to undefined safety and efficacy. During the course of taking this medication, regular checks of blood pressure, kidney function, and electrolyte levels should be conducted, and any abnormal symptoms should prompt immediate consultation with healthcare professionals. If blood pressure drops too low or severe side effects occur, discontinue medication and seek immediate treatment. Store this medication out of reach of children and do not transfer it to a different container for safety.
