This medicine is used for chronic inflammatory joint diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis. It also helps relieve inflammation around the joints in conditions like osteoarthritis (degenerative joint disease) and peritendinitis of the scapulohumeral region. It is effective for various pain symptoms such as dental pain, inflammation after trauma, low back pain, and sciatica. In particular, it alleviates pain caused by non-articular rheumatism, improving the quality of life for patients. It is used to reduce inflammation and pain to improve symptoms.
For aceclofenac, take 100 mg twice a day every 12 hours. This medication should be taken whole, not chewed or crushed. The dosage may be adjusted according to symptoms. To minimize cardiovascular adverse reactions, it should be given at the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration possible.
This medication may cause gastrointestinal bleeding in patients who regularly consume more than three glasses of alcohol per day, so consultation with a doctor or pharmacist is essential. This medication poses a risk of issues with the heart and cerebral blood vessels, especially in patients with risk factors for cardiovascular diseases, who should use it with caution. It is best to take this medication for the shortest duration at the minimum effective dose possible, and symptoms and responses should be monitored regularly during treatment. Serious problems such as gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, or perforations may occur, so those with a history of gastrointestinal diseases or elderly individuals should be particularly cautious. Persons with active peptic ulcers or bleeding, allergic reactions to this medication or similar drugs, or severe heart, kidney, or liver dysfunction should not use this medication. Individuals with impaired kidney function, heart failure, hypertension, or liver dysfunction should use this medication with caution and closely monitor their condition while taking it. Various side effects such as dizziness, abnormal liver enzyme levels, gastrointestinal disorders, skin rashes, and breathing difficulties may occur; therefore, if any unusual symptoms arise, immediate consultation with medical personnel is necessary. Before taking this medication, it is essential to check for possible interactions with other medicines, especially if it will be taken with anticoagulants, diuretics, blood pressure medications, or chemotherapy drugs. Pregnant women, especially during the last three months, should avoid this medication, and women who are planning pregnancy or breastfeeding should consult a physician before use. Safety and efficacy in children and adolescents have not been established; therefore, its use is not recommended. Elderly patients have a higher risk of side effects such as gastrointestinal bleeding, necessitating careful usage. In cases of overdose, symptoms may include gastrointestinal irritation, low blood pressure, respiratory depression, or seizures, requiring immediate medical attention, and the medication should be stored out of reach of children. Moreover, it is advisable not to transfer it to another container and to keep it in its original packaging.
