Adult dose

Before administration of this medication, appropriate lipid-lowering dietary therapy must be implemented and continued throughout the treatment period. This medication should be taken with food to avoid gastrointestinal disturbances. The usual initial dosage is 2g daily (2 capsules), and can be increased to 4g daily if necessary. It can be administered once or twice a day.

This medication should not be taken by individuals who are allergic to its components or by children under 18 years of age. Patients at high risk of bleeding due to severe trauma or surgery, patients with liver function issues, and individuals with fish allergies should take this medication with caution. Various side effects such as indigestion, skin rash, taste disturbances, back pain, and cold symptoms may occur during the use of this medication, so if any unusual symptoms arise, consult a doctor immediately. Patients with cardiovascular disease or risk factors should be cautious as arrhythmias like atrial fibrillation may occur when taking this medication. This medication can affect blood coagulation; hence, when taken in conjunction with anticoagulants or acetylsalicylic acid, the risk of bleeding may increase, and it is essential to consult with healthcare professionals. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should consult healthcare professionals before use as the effects on the fetus or baby are not adequately known. Safety and efficacy in pediatric patients have not been established; hence, it is not recommended for children. Elderly patients can take this medication, but no special precautions are needed in comparison to other age groups. In case of overdose, there is no specific antidote, so symptomatic treatment should be followed according to healthcare professionals’ directives. This medication should be stored out of reach of children and transferring it to another container may negatively impact the quality of the product, so it should be avoided.

Hives, severe swelling (edema), chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, paleness, severe rash with high fever, blisters, skin peeling, pain in oral/ocular mucous membranes, wheezing or difficulty breathing, asthma attacks, respiratory distress accompanied by cough and fever, yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice), extreme fatigue, sudden and severe headache, thunderclap headache, seizures, confusion, visual disturbances, paralysis, urination issues
