Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

As L-Aspartate-L-Ornithine, mix up to 40 g (8 ampoules) with an appropriate infusion solution for intravenous drip. Adjust according to symptoms.

Precautions

This medication is in an ampoule form, so when opening the container, care should be taken as glass fragments may mix in. Particularly caution is needed when administering to children and the elderly. This medication should not be administered to patients with certain diseases. For example, it should not be used in patients with lactic acidosis, methanol poisoning, fructose-sorbitol intolerance, fructose-1,6-diphosphatase deficiency, and severe renal function impairment. Additionally, as it contains sulfite, it may cause allergic reactions or asthma attacks; hence, patients with asthma or those sensitive to sulfite should use it cautiously. During use, symptoms such as warmth at the back of the neck, nausea, or vomiting may occasionally occur. In cases of high dosage, blood and urine urea levels should be checked to monitor the patient's condition. If liver function is poor, the infusion rate should be adjusted to minimize discomfort or vomiting. It is important to slowly inject this medication intravenously. When stored, keep it out of reach of children, and do not transfer the medication from its original container to another container. This is to prevent misuse or deterioration of the medication's quality.
