Precautions

This medication should not be used in certain patients. For example, those who are allergic to this drug or similar medications, women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, patients with heart problems, patients with severely impaired kidney or liver function, patients who have recently had a myocardial infarction, and children and adolescents under 18 years of age should not be administered this medication. Additionally, patients with cardiac rhythm disorders or decreased heart function, patients with mild to moderate kidney or liver impairment, patients with a history of angina, patients who frequently consume alcohol, and elderly patients should use this medication with caution. While taking this medication, side effects such as facial flushing or swelling of the hands and feet, rapid heartbeat, headaches, dizziness, indigestion, and nausea may occur. Regular testing is important as liver function may be affected, and if liver enzyme levels increase, the medication should be discontinued. Abruptly stopping this medication may worsen symptoms, so when discontinuing, the dosage should be reduced gradually, and caution should be exercised when driving or operating machinery due to dizziness or drowsiness. This medication is metabolized in the liver, so concomitant use with certain drugs may alter its effectiveness. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should not take this medication, and it should also not be used by children or adolescents under 18 years of age. Elderly patients require special caution, but generally, dosage adjustments are not necessary. In the case of an overdose, severe hypotension or heart problems may occur, requiring immediate medical treatment, and due to the nature of this medication, it is difficult to remove it via hemodialysis. Finally, this medication should be kept out of reach of children, and transferring it to another container is not advised as it may compromise quality.
