This medication supplements calcium deficiency and provides vitamin D necessary during pregnancy, lactation, growth periods, and old age, aiding in the healthy development of bones and teeth. It is also used to prevent bone-related diseases such as rickets, maintaining a healthy bone condition.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults and children over 12: 1-2 tablets once daily Dissolve or chew in the mouth.

Child dose

Ages 3-12: 1 tablet once daily Dissolve or chew in the mouth.

Precautions

This drug contains aspartame, an artificial sweetener, which is broken down into phenylalanine in the body. Therefore, it should not be taken by patients with phenylketonuria, a hereditary disease. It is also safe not to take this medication if you have hypercalcemia (excess calcium in the blood), sarcoidosis (a systemic inflammatory disease of unknown origin), or renal disease. Additionally, individuals allergic to this medication or its components, infants under 12 months, patients with kidney stones, and those with significantly impaired kidney function should avoid using this medication. While taking this medication, it is advisable not to take drugs such as phosphates, calcium salts, oral tetracycline antibiotics, or antacids concurrently. Particularly, women receiving medical treatment, pregnant or breastfeeding women, children who receive plenty of sunlight and eat normally, individuals with heart or circulatory problems, those with kidney issues, hypoproteinemia patients, those taking cardiac glycosides, and individuals with a history of kidney stones must consult a healthcare professional before using this medication. If symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, hypotension, facial flushing, irregular heartbeat, skin rash, etc., occur during use, discontinue immediately and consult a professional. Also, excessive dosages may lead to gastrointestinal disturbances, hypernatremia, congestive heart failure, swelling, etc., and long-term use may cause hypercalcemia or kidney stones, so caution is advised. Taking this medication with aldosterone antagonists or triamterene may result in hyperkalemia, requiring caution. Dosage must be strictly adhered to, and when given to children, administration should be supervised by a guardian, avoiding tannin-containing teas like green tea or black tea before and after taking the medication. Finally, this medication should be stored out of reach of children, away from direct sunlight, in a cool place with low humidity, sealed in its container. Additionally, it is important not to transfer it to another container for quality maintenance.
