This drug is used to control hypertension and to prevent and improve myocardial ischemia due to stable and variant angina caused by narrowing or spasming of the coronary arteries, which leads to inadequate blood flow to the heart.

How to take

Adult dose

Amlodipine is administered orally at a dose of 5 mg once daily. If symptoms do not improve within 2 to 4 weeks, the dose may be increased to a maximum of 10 mg daily. Adjust dosage appropriately based on symptoms.

Precautions

This drug should not be administered to certain patients. Patients who are allergic to this drug or its components, pregnant or breastfeeding women, and patients with serious heart problems or hepatic dysfunction should not use this drug. Additionally, patients with severely impaired kidney function or the elderly, as well as those with acute heart failure, should use this drug with caution.
