Precautions

This medication should not be used in certain patients. For example, it should not be administered to individuals with allergies to this medication, those suffering from severe myasthenia gravis, and those with lactose intolerance or specific genetic metabolic disorders. Moreover, caution is advised when used in patients with a history of drug hypersensitivity or impaired liver function, as liver function may deteriorate. During the course of treatment, rare side effects such as shock, abnormal liver function, impaired kidney function, and anemia may occur, so symptoms should be closely monitored. Skin rashes, itching, insomnia, drowsiness, headaches, dyspepsia, urinary problems, and general fatigue may also occur. In particular, serious skin reactions such as Stevens-Johnson syndrome may occur, so if symptoms such as fever, skin rash, blisters, eye redness, or oral mucositis arise, the medication should be stopped immediately, and a physician should be consulted. This medication may cause drowsiness or decreased concentration; it is advisable to avoid hazardous activities such as driving or operating machinery. Additionally, caution is advised when used in combination with other medications having similar components, as visual disturbances may occur. Pregnant women or those who could become pregnant should only use this medication if the benefits outweigh the risks, and breastfeeding women should preferably avoid the medication or discontinue breastfeeding if it is necessary to use it. Safety has not been sufficiently established in children, so caution is required, and elderly individuals may need special care, such as dose adjustments, due to potential declines in bodily functions.
