How to take

Adult dose

Take talniflumate 370 mg orally 3 times daily. In severe cases, take 740 mg per dose. The dose may be adjusted appropriately according to age and symptoms.

Precautions

This medication must be consulted with a physician or pharmacist before use in individuals who regularly consume more than three glasses of alcohol daily, as there is a risk of gastrointestinal bleeding. This medication can impact the cardiovascular system, increasing the risk of serious thrombotic reactions such as heart attack or stroke. Individuals with cardiovascular disease or risk factors must be particularly cautious. Both physician and patient should closely monitor for the appearance of cardiovascular symptoms and take immediate action if they occur. This medication can also affect the gastrointestinal tract, potentially causing severe issues such as bleeding, ulcers, or perforation of the stomach or intestines. These problems can occur without symptoms, which poses a higher risk for the elderly. If any gastrointestinal symptoms develop during use, medical personnel should be notified immediately, and medication may need to be discontinued. This medication should not be used in individuals with a history of peptic ulcers or allergies to this medication or its ingredients, those allergic to aspirin or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, patients with severe liver, kidney, or heart disease, and women who are pregnant or breastfeeding. Patients with mild to moderate liver, kidney, or heart disease, the elderly, and those taking diuretics should use this medication with caution. This medication may cause gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and may rarely cause side effects like skin rash, hives, asthma attacks, hypotension, and dizziness. For those using this medication long-term, regular blood tests and evaluations of liver and kidney function are necessary, and any abnormal symptoms should be reported to healthcare providers immediately. This medication is a symptomatic treatment that alleviates inflammation and pain but does not treat the underlying cause. In cases where infection is suspected, it should be used along with appropriate antibiotics and care must be taken to ensure symptoms of infection do not worsen. It is advisable not to use this medication in conjunction with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, as it may interact with certain medications; therefore, it is crucial to inform about any concurrent medications. This medication should not be used during late pregnancy as it may pose risks to the fetus and should also be avoided during breastfeeding due to the possibility of secretion in breast milk, where discontinuation of breastfeeding or the medication may be recommended. It should not be administered to children under 12 years of age, and the elderly should use the minimum effective dose cautiously. This medication should be kept out of reach of children and should not be transferred to other containers for safety reasons.
