This medication helps alleviate gastrointestinal symptoms such as abdominal pain, dyspepsia, nausea, and vomiting due to esophageal reflux and hiatal hernia, as well as gastritis and ulcers. It also improves symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome and spasmodic colon. In pediatric cases, it can be used to alleviate habitual vomiting, non-infectious abdominal pain, and symptoms of constipation and diarrhea. Overall, it effectively improves gastrointestinal dysfunction symptoms.
As Trimebutine Maleate, take 100-200mg orally before meals, three times a day. Adjust dosage appropriately according to age and symptoms.
This medication contains lactose and should not be used by patients with genetic issues such as galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption. When taking this medication, gastrointestinal-related symptoms such as constipation, diarrhea, abdominal distension, nausea, vomiting, dyspepsia, dryness of the mouth, and oral numbness may occur rarely. It may also rarely result in palpitations, so caution is advised. Neurological symptoms such as fatigue, drowsiness, dizziness, lethargy, and headache may also occur rarely. There is a possibility of elevated liver enzyme levels related to liver function, so patients should monitor liver health. If hypersensitivity reactions such as rashes occur, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional. The safety of this medication during pregnancy is not certain, so women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should only use it when the therapeutic benefits are deemed to outweigh the risks. Nursing women should also avoid use due to uncertainty regarding safety and, if necessary to use it, should discontinue breastfeeding. This medication should be kept out of reach of children, stored securely with the cap tightly closed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. To maintain quality, do not transfer to another container, and prevent misuse.
