Treatment of androgenetic alopecia in both men and women
This medication is used for the treatment of androgenetic alopecia in both men and women. It is available in concentrations of 2%, 3%, and 5%, and helps improve the symptoms of hair loss and promotes hair growth. Those concerned about hair loss can benefit from this medication in delaying progression of hair loss and maintaining healthy hair. It is a product suitable for both men and women, so feel free to use it. This medication is recommended as an effective option for hair loss treatment.
After thoroughly drying hair and scalp, apply this medication 0.5 to 1 g (gel) or 0.5 to 1 mL (solution 2%, 5%) twice a day (morning and evening) to the affected area for at least 4 months. The total daily dose should not exceed 2 g (gel) or 2 mL (solution 2%, 5%). (Solution 3%) - Men: After thoroughly drying hair and scalp, apply 0.5 to 1 mL
It is not safe to use this medication for female patients using the 5% formulation. Children under 18 years old and women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should also avoid this medication. Patients who have experienced allergic reactions to this medication or its components should refrain from use. Patients with heart or vascular problems, such as angina, arrhythmia, heart failure, heart valve disease, high blood pressure, or low blood pressure, should avoid using this medication. Those whose hair loss is not due to genetic factors or have suddenly experienced partial hair loss should also avoid this medication. If there are any abnormalities such as inflammation, infection, irritation, psoriasis, burns, etc. on the scalp, it is safe to refrain from using this medication. Patients with hair loss of unclear origins or those using other scalp medications simultaneously, as well as those who have shaved their scalp should avoid this medication. Patients who do not tolerate well the 2% formulation of this medication or those experiencing postpartum hair loss should also avoid use. During the use of this medication, do not use external corticosteroids, retinoids, petroleum jelly, ditranol, etc., and caution is needed if taking vasodilators, as it may exacerbate orthostatic hypotension. Elderly patients over the age of 55, patients with edema, and patients with thyroid dysfunction must consult with a specialist before using this medication. If during the use of this medication skin symptoms like pruritus, erythema, dryness, or folliculitis occur, as well as gastrointestinal symptoms like diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, heart pain, blood pressure changes, or heart symptoms like palpitations occur, the use should be immediately discontinued and a specialist consulted. Also, dizziness, headache, hepatitis, kidney swelling, and allergic reactions may occur, so caution is advised. This medication may cause a temporary increase in hair loss during initial use, and if there are no effects after 2 weeks or after 4 months of use, one should consult a specialist. Due to the possibility of cardiovascular effects from excessive absorption, it is essential to consult a specialist before use and to avoid use if there are wounds or inflammation on the scalp. If a dose is missed, do not make up for it and continue with the next scheduled dosage. This medication is ineffective for hair loss caused by specific causes or skin diseases, so other treatment options should be considered in those cases. Severe side effects may occur with excessive use, so adhere to the recommended dosage and consult a specialist immediately if any abnormal symptoms arise. This medication should not be used on areas other than the scalp and should not be used with sealing bandages. Take care to avoid contact with eyes or sensitive areas, and wash hands thoroughly after use. Hair styling products should be used only after this medication has completely dried, and it is advisable to avoid using a hair dryer to dry the scalp. This medication is flammable, so do not store it near fire, keep it out of reach of children, and securely close it in its original container.
