Pikobazol Granules (Banhasasimtang Extract Granules)

Adult dose

The usual adult dose is 3.2 grams to be taken three times a day before meals or between meals.

This medication should not be taken by newborns, breastfeeding women, pregnant women, or women who may become pregnant. Patients with hypertension, heart disease, kidney disease, edema, patients who have previously experienced skin rashes or itching due to medications, the elderly, and patients currently undergoing other treatments must consult a professional before taking this medication. If unusual symptoms such as swelling of the face or extremities or elevated blood pressure occur during the use of this medication, it should be discontinued immediately and a professional should be consulted. If symptoms such as muscle weakness, limb cramps, skin rash, symptoms of liver dysfunction, or difficulty breathing occur, it is advisable to stop taking the medication and consult a professional. If symptoms do not improve after about one month of taking this medication, it is recommended to discontinue use and consult a professional. This medication is generally not taken for extended periods, and if long-term use is absolutely necessary, it should be discussed with a professional. Adhere to the prescribed dosage and administration, and caution is advised when taking it with potassium-containing preparations or licorice-containing preparations, as hypokalemia or muscle-related side effects may occur. When taking with other herbal medicines, check for overlapping herbal ingredients. This medication should be stored in a cool, dry place, avoiding direct sunlight, and out of reach of children. Additionally, it should be kept tightly closed in its original container; transferring to another container may risk quality deterioration or misuse.

Reduced urine output, swelling of the face and extremities (edema), elevated blood pressure, headache, weakness, limb cramps, paralysis, generalized lethargy, jaundice of the skin or eyes, fever, cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing
