This medication is used for the relief of pain associated with arthritis disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis, shoulder periarthritis, dental pain, inflammation following trauma, lower back pain, sciatica, and pain caused by non-articular rheumatism.

How to take

Adult dose

As aceclofenac, take 100 mg twice a day every 12 hours. Do not chew or crush the tablet; swallow it whole. Adjust dosage as needed based on symptoms. To minimize cardiovascular adverse reactions, take the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration.

Precautions

This medication poses a risk of gastrointestinal bleeding in individuals who consume three or more alcoholic beverages daily, thus consultation with a physician or pharmacist is essential. This medication may increase the risk of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events; therefore, patients with cardiovascular diseases or risk factors should use it cautiously and take the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration possible. This medication may cause serious gastrointestinal adverse reactions, including gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, and perforations; thus, individuals with a history of gastrointestinal diseases or the elderly should exercise particular caution and seek immediate treatment if gastrointestinal bleeding symptoms occur. Patients with active peptic ulcers or bleeding, who have allergies to this medication or similar medications, those with a history of asthma or allergic reactions, and those with severe cardiac or renal liver impairment, pregnant women in the late stages of pregnancy, and nursing mothers should not take this medication. Individuals with kidney impairment, heart failure, hypertension, liver impairment, and the elderly should use this medication cautiously; regular blood tests and liver and kidney function assessments are necessary when taken over a prolonged period. Dizziness, drowsiness, and visual disturbances may occur while taking this medication, so it is advisable to avoid driving or operating hazardous machinery. Particularly in late pregnancy, this medication may harm the fetus, so it is recommended that women who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant avoid taking it. This medication may interact with various other drugs; therefore, if other medications are being taken, consultation with a physician is required, especially when used together with anticoagulants, diuretics, antidiabetic agents, lithium, methotrexate, etc. This medication may cause serious skin reactions, such as rashes, itching, or in severe cases, Stevens-Johnson syndrome; if any skin abnormalities appear, the medication should be discontinued immediately and medical advice sought.
