Precautions

This medication should not be used in certain patients. First, it should not be administered to patients who have previously shown allergic reactions to it or those with myasthenia gravis. Additionally, since this medication contains lactose, individuals with genetic problems such as galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take it. Caution is required when using this medication. Patients with a history of drug allergies or liver dysfunction should use it carefully, as their liver function may worsen. Rarely, shock may occur as a side effect; if symptoms appear, treatment should be immediately stopped, and appropriate care should be sought. Treatment should also be discontinued and monitored if signs of liver dysfunction occur. It may affect kidney function, so if proteinuria or elevated blood urea nitrogen levels appear, the medication should be stopped. Blood-related symptoms such as anemia should also be closely monitored. Hypersensitivity reactions, such as skin rashes and itching, may occur, and neuropsychiatric symptoms like insomnia, drowsiness, headaches, and limb paralysis may also be observed. Gastrointestinal symptoms like nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, abdominal pain, and diarrhea may occur, and urinary symptoms may include difficulty urinating or incontinence. Systemically, symptoms such as weakness, dizziness, and muscle tone reduction may arise, requiring attention. Rarely, flushing of the face, sweating, and swelling may occur. Severe skin reactions such as toxic epidermal necrolysis and Stevens-Johnson syndrome may occur, so if symptoms like fever, erythema, blisters, itching, eye congestion, or stomatitis appear, medication should be immediately discontinued, and treatment sought. While taking this medication, symptoms of weakness, staggering, or drowsiness may occur, so dosage should be reduced or stopped if these symptoms arise. Additionally, drowsiness or decreased concentration may occur, so driving or operating hazardous machinery should be avoided. When used in conjunction with similar medications, vision distortion has been reported; caution is needed when taking them together. During pregnancy, safety has not been established, so pregnant women or women who may become pregnant should only take this medication if the benefits outweigh the risks. Women who are breastfeeding should avoid this medication if possible, and if it must be taken, it is advisable to discontinue breastfeeding. The safety of this medication in children has not been sufficiently confirmed, so it should be used cautiously, and special attention should be paid to dosage adjustments in the elderly due to potential declines in physical function.
