This medicine is used for various inflammatory conditions and pain such as rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis, and periarticular inflammation. It is also effective for relief of pain due to toothache, inflammation from trauma, low back pain, sciatica, and non-articular rheumatism. By reducing inflammation and controlling pain related to these symptoms and conditions, it improves patients' quality of life.

How to take

Adult dose

As aceclofenac, take 100 mg twice daily every 12 hours. This medication should be taken whole, without chewing or crushing. The dosage may be adjusted appropriately based on symptoms. It should be administered at the minimum effective dose for the shortest duration possible.

Precautions

This medication carries a risk of gastric bleeding in individuals who regularly consume more than three alcoholic beverages a day; thus, consultation with a doctor or pharmacist is essential. This medicine may increase the risk of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease, so patients who are at risk for cardiovascular disease should start treatment cautiously and use the minimum effective dose for the shortest duration possible. During treatment, patients should carefully monitor cardiovascular symptoms, and those with a history of cerebrovascular hemorrhage should exercise particular caution. This medication can cause serious gastrointestinal adverse reactions such as gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, and perforation, so individuals with a history of gastrointestinal disorders or the elderly should use this medication with special care. Patients with active peptic ulcers or bleeding, or those who have had allergic reactions to this drug or similar medications should not use it. It is also advisable for patients with asthma, heart failure, or severe kidney or liver impairment to avoid using this medication. Patients with decreased kidney function, heart failure, hypertension, or liver impairment should use this medication with caution and require regular monitoring during use. This drug may cause various side effects such as dizziness, elevated liver enzyme levels, skin rashes, gastrointestinal disturbances, so if abnormal symptoms arise, immediate consultation with medical personnel is required. In particular, if there are severe rashes or allergic reactions on the skin, the medication should be discontinued immediately. It should not be used during late pregnancy as it may harm the fetus, and it should be administered with caution during early or mid-pregnancy. Lactating women should consult a doctor before taking this medication as it may be excreted in breast milk. This medication has many interactions with other drugs, so if taking anticoagulants, diuretics, antihypertensive drugs, antidiabetic medications, etc., consultation with a doctor is essential.
