Treatment of dermatophyte infections (tinea pedis, tinea corporis, etc.), tinea versicolor, and candidiasis
This medication is used to treat various skin fungal infections such as tinea pedis, tinea cruris, tinea corporis caused by dermatophytes like Trichophyton, Microsporum, Epidermophyton, and tinea versicolor caused by Pityrosporum orbiculare, as well as candidiasis.
Apply to the affected area (diseased area) once or twice daily. Treatment duration is as follows: 1. Tinea pedis: once daily for 1 week Interdigital tinea pedis: twice daily for 1 week Plantar tinea pedis: twice daily for 2 weeks 2. Tinea corporis and tinea cruris: 1 to 2 weeks 3. Candidiasis: 1 to 2 weeks 4. Tinea versicolor: 2 weeks If clinical symptoms do not improve after the treatment duration, retesting is necessary.
Do not use this medication if you are allergic to it or have experienced hypersensitivity to its ingredients. It is also recommended that pregnant women or those who may become pregnant, as well as nursing mothers, avoid using this medication. Additionally, it is advisable not to use this medication in children. This medication contains propylene glycol; patients who have had allergies or hypersensitivity reactions to this ingredient should use this medication with caution. If you experience symptoms such as rash, urticaria, itching, redness, irritation, dermatitis, skin peeling, scab, pigmentation disorders, stabbing pain, or burning sensation while using this medication, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist. When using this medication, do not use occlusive dressings or packaging methods without a doctor's instructions, and if symptoms do not improve, you should undergo testing to confirm the presence of fungal infection. If there is a candidiasis infection, it is advisable to avoid using acidic soaps. When applying to wounds, large areas, or to infants, caution should be exercised as this medication can be absorbed into the body and affect the entire system. If this medication is accidentally ingested, activated charcoal should be used to remove the active ingredient and appropriate treatment should be provided as necessary. This medication is for external use only and should be kept out of the eyes. If it gets into the eyes, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water. It is advisable not to use this medication on nails, the scalp, around the mouth, or genital areas. Animal studies have reported that this medication exhibits mild phototoxicity, so caution should be exercised when used on areas exposed to sunlight. Lastly, this medication should be stored out of the reach of children and must be kept tightly closed in its original container to maintain its quality and safety.
