Prevention of vitamin C deficiency and treatment of scurvy, effect of promoting capillary hemorrhage and bone healing
This medication is used to prevent and treat vitamin C deficiency. It is particularly effective for treating scurvy and is beneficial for pregnant or breastfeeding women, as well as individuals whose vitamin C needs are increased due to strenuous physical activity. Additionally, it plays a role in capillary hemorrhage, vitamin C metabolism disorders that can occur with certain medications, and promotes the formation of bone matrix and bone healing during fractures. It is also expected to be effective for improving freckles, blemishes, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, and treating photosensitive dermatitis. Overall, it is used to improve and treat various symptoms related to vitamin C deficiency.
As ascorbic acid, administer 50 to 1,000 mg once to multiple times a day subcutaneously, intramuscularly, or intravenously. Adjust according to age and symptoms.
When opening the injection container, be careful as glass fragments may enter, so the container should be cut cautiously. Special care should be taken when used in children or the elderly. It should not be administered to patients with allergies to this medication or certain kidney or blood disorders. Caution is advised as high-dose administration may cause side effects such as hemolysis or kidney stones. Symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and headaches may occur after administration, and high doses may result in diuretic effects. Excessive intake can strain the kidneys, so the prescribed dosage must be adhered to. This medication is usually taken orally, but can be administered by injection when digestion is difficult or in urgent situations. Be sure to consult a doctor or pharmacist when taking with other medications, as interactions may occur. During pregnancy, the effects on the fetus are not clearly known, so unnecessary use should be avoided, especially high doses. This medication may affect test results, so inform the healthcare provider before any tests. In case of overdose, symptoms such as diarrhea or kidney stones may occur, so administration should be stopped immediately and proper treatment sought. Injection may cause pain at the injection site, so the injection site should be changed or injections should be avoided in nerve areas. If injected too quickly, dizziness or phlebitis may occur, so injections should be given slowly. This medication should be stored out of reach of children and kept in a dry place away from direct sunlight.

This medication should be stored in a closed container that can block light, and the temperature must be maintained between 2 degrees and 8 degrees Celsius. Additionally, it can be safely used for 24 months from the date of manufacture.
