Treatment of musculoskeletal pain-related muscle spasms and neurological spastic paralysis
This medication is used to relieve pain and muscle spasms due to musculoskeletal disorders. It is particularly effective for conditions such as shoulder stiffness known as adhesive capsulitis, pericapsular inflammation, and lower back pain. Additionally, it helps with muscle stiffness or paralysis symptoms caused by neurological disorders. It is used in the treatment of spastic paralysis occurring after various central nervous system conditions such as cerebrovascular disorders, spinal cord injuries, and cerebral palsy. This drug relaxes muscle tension and reduces pain and discomfort, thereby acting beneficially in improving muscle spasms and pain.
Adults: 50 mg of eperisone hydrochloride should be taken orally three times a day after meals. Dosage may be adjusted according to age and symptoms.
This medication should not be used in certain patients. Patients with allergies to this drug or with myasthenia gravis should not take it. Furthermore, patients unable to digest certain sugars for genetic reasons should avoid this medication. There are also patients who require caution while using this drug. Patients with a history of allergies or impaired liver function should use this medication with care. Various side effects may occur while taking this medication, so careful monitoring is necessary. Serious shock reactions may occur rarely, and if symptoms appear, administration should be discontinued immediately, and appropriate treatment should be sought. Liver or kidney dysfunction may arise, so regular check-ups are necessary, and if any abnormal signs occur, administration should be halted. Allergic reactions such as anemia, skin rash, and pruritus may also occur. Neurological symptoms can include insomnia, drowsiness, headache, and limb numbness. Gastrointestinal issues may present as nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain, and urinary system problems may arise rarely. General weakness or dizziness should be monitored cautiously. If severe skin reactions such as Stevens-Johnson syndrome occur, administration should be stopped immediately. While taking this medication, drowsiness or decreased concentration may occur, thus driving or operating dangerous machinery should be avoided. When taken with other similar drugs, side effects may increase, so consulting a physician is advised. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should exercise caution when taking this medication, and nursing mothers should avoid taking it if possible or discontinue breastfeeding. Safety in children has not been fully established, so use in children should be reserved for special cases only. The elderly may experience reduced physical functions, so careful adjustments to the dosage are necessary. Lastly, this medication should be stored out of reach of children, and transferring to other containers could cause accidents or quality deterioration, so caution is advised.
Shock, liver dysfunction (elevated ALT, AST, ALP), kidney dysfunction (proteinuria, elevated BUN), anemia, anaphylaxis (hives, severe swelling, chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, pallor), angioedema (severe swelling), toxic epidermal necrolysis and mucocutaneous skin-eye syndrome (severe rash, blisters, skin peeling, pain in oral/eye mucosa accompanied by high fever).

This medication should be stored in a tightly sealed container that allows for good air circulation, preferably at room temperature between 1 degree and 30 degrees. Proper storage can maintain the effectiveness of the medication and prevent degradation.
