Precautions

This medication should not be used in certain patients. For example, individuals who are allergic to this medication or who have severe muscle weakness should not take it. Additionally, this medication contains lactose, so patients with a genetic inability to digest lactose should also avoid taking it. Patients who have experienced allergic reactions to medications or who have poor liver function should be particularly cautious when using this medication, as liver function may worsen. While taking this medication, rare shock reactions may occur, so symptoms should be closely monitored; if any abnormal symptoms appear, it is essential to stop taking the medication immediately and seek appropriate treatment. Regular checks are necessary, as liver enzymes may rise or kidney function may be impaired. Hypersensitivity reactions such as anemia, skin rashes, and itching may also occur. Symptoms such as drowsiness, headaches, numbness in hands and feet, and stiffness in the body may arise, necessitating caution. Gastrointestinal symptoms may include nausea, vomiting, decreased appetite, and abdominal pain, while urinary symptoms may involve difficulty urinating or a feeling of incomplete urination. Systemically, there may be fatigue, dizziness, and reduced muscle tension, and rarely, flushing of the face or excessive sweating may occur. Severe skin reactions, such as fever, rash, blisters, conjunctival injection, and stomatitis, may occur, requiring immediate cessation of use and a visit to a hospital if these symptoms appear. If weakness, staggering, or drowsiness occurs during use, it is advisable to reduce or discontinue the dosage. This medication can cause drowsiness or decreased concentration, so caution is advised when driving or operating dangerous machinery. Using this medication with other muscle relaxants can cause visual disturbances, so it is safer to avoid such combinations. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should carefully consider the benefits and risks of using this medication, and nursing mothers should, if possible, avoid taking it or stop breastfeeding during its use. The safety in children has not been sufficiently established, so use should be approached with caution. Elderly patients may have decreased bodily functions, requiring special attention, such as dose adjustments.
