Precautions

This medication should not be used in women who are pregnant or may become pregnant. It should also not be administered to patients with severely impaired heart function, acute myocardial infarction, or unstable angina. Patients with severe liver or kidney function impairment, as well as those with specific genetic lactose metabolism issues, should not use this medication. Careful use is required in elderly patients or patients with excessively low blood pressure or liver function problems. Initial doses or dose increases can cause symptoms such as flushing, headache, palpitations, dizziness, and fatigue. These symptoms are usually temporary and can vary with dosage. If blood pressure drops too low or heart rhythm becomes irregular, consult a physician immediately. Additionally, this medication contains certain colorants and lactose, so caution is needed for those with allergies or lactose intolerance. Sudden discontinuation of this medication may worsen symptoms, so the dosage should be gradually reduced according to a physician's instructions. In cases of excessively low blood pressure, the medication should be reduced or stopped, and appropriate treatment should be received. It is recommended to take this medication in the morning on an empty stomach or after a light meal. When taking it with other antihypertensive medications or specific antibiotics, antifungals, or anticonvulsants, interactions may occur, so it is essential to consult with a physician or pharmacist. In particular, taking it with grapefruit juice may excessively increase the effect of the medication, so it should be avoided. It is safest for pregnant or breastfeeding women not to use this medication, and if necessary, breastfeeding should be stopped. Safety for children has not been established, therefore it should not be used in pediatric patients. Elderly patients should start at a lower dose and be closely monitored. In cases of overdose, severe symptoms such as decreased blood pressure, arrhythmia, and decreased consciousness may occur, and emergency treatment should be received immediately. Dizziness or fatigue may occur during the use of this medication, so caution should be exercised while driving or operating machinery.
