If you have difficulty swallowing food or experience pain while swallowing, or if you have hematemesis or blood in your stools, you must consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine. If heartburn symptoms persist for more than 3 months, or if dizziness, cold sweat, or lightheadedness appears along with heartburn, you should also consult a professional. People who have had allergic reactions to other medications must also consult a healthcare professional before taking this medicine. Individuals with impaired kidney or liver function may experience increased blood drug concentrations, so caution is advised. Elderly patients, those with a history of acute porphyria, pregnant women or those who may become pregnant, and breastfeeding women should consult professionals before taking this medication. Severe allergic reactions or symptoms such as skin rash, blood abnormalities, liver dysfunction, gastrointestinal issues, central nervous system disorders, and muscle pain may occur, so notify healthcare professionals immediately if these symptoms appear. This medicine may conceal symptoms of stomach cancer, so it should only be used temporarily for symptom relief. There is no evidence of significant interaction between this medicine and certain drugs (amoxicillin, metronidazole); however, when taking it with sucralfate, absorption may be reduced, so doses should be spaced at least 2 hours apart. In case of overdose, appropriate treatment such as inducing vomiting or gastric lavage is necessary and may be removed through dialysis if required. Do not take with alcoholic beverages. If there are any changes in your condition after taking this medicine, consult a doctor or pharmacist immediately; the risk of pneumonia may increase in elderly patients or those with chronic lung disease, diabetes, or weakened immune systems.
