As ranitidine, a single dose of 150 mg is administered orally twice daily, in the morning and at bedtime. For stomach and duodenal ulcers, 150 mg can be administered orally twice daily or 300 mg once daily at bedtime. For patients with duodenal ulcers, 300 mg can be administered orally twice daily, in the morning and at bedtime. For recurrent ulcer patients, 150 mg is administered as maintenance therapy once daily at bedtime.
Child dose
Children aged 8 to 18 can take a single dose of 150 mg (2 mg per kilogram of body weight) up to twice daily.

This medication is effective for gastrointestinal diseases such as stomach and duodenal ulcers, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, and gastroesophageal reflux disease. It also helps prevent Mendelson syndrome that can occur during the preoperative anesthesia process and aids in the prevention of postoperative ulcers. It is also used to treat ulcers caused by the use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It is effective in improving upper gastrointestinal bleeding lesions such as acute exacerbation of acute and chronic gastritis, and gastric mucosal bleeding. In addition, it helps relieve symptoms of heartburn and regurgitation due to excessive gastric acid. This drug improves symptoms of various gastrointestinal-related diseases.

How to take

Adult dose

As ranitidine, a single dose of 150 mg is administered orally twice daily, in the morning and at bedtime. For stomach and duodenal ulcers, 150 mg can be administered orally twice daily or 300 mg once daily at bedtime. For patients with duodenal ulcers, 300 mg can be administered orally twice daily, in the morning and at bedtime. Precautions

This drug should not be used in patients who have had an allergic reaction to any component of this drug or have a history of acute porphyria. Patients with impaired kidney function may require dose reduction or an increase in dosing intervals due to the potential for increased plasma drug concentration. Caution is advised in patients with impaired liver function or a history of drug allergies, the elderly, and those taking non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Particularly, the symptoms of stomach cancer may be masked, so patients with stomach ulcers or new indigestion symptoms in middle-aged or older individuals should be administered only after confirming malignancy. If hypersensitivity symptoms such as shock, rash, or difficulty breathing occur during the use of this drug, it should be discontinued immediately and a physician should be consulted. Rarely, various side effects such as abnormal blood tests, liver dysfunction, cardiac rhythm abnormalities, gastrointestinal symptoms, and neurological symptoms may occur; if symptoms develop, medical personnel should be notified immediately. During treatment, regular blood tests and liver and kidney function tests should be conducted, and if there is no effect, it may be beneficial to switch to another treatment modality. Elderly patients or those with chronic pulmonary disease or diabetes should be cautious as the risk of pneumonia may be increased. If dizziness or drowsiness occurs, avoid driving or operating dangerous machinery. This drug may interact with others; if there are other medications being taken, it is essential to inform medical staff, particularly if anticoagulants are being consumed, and closely monitor blood coagulation status. Women who are pregnant or nursing should consult a physician to carefully consider the benefits and risks of administering this drug. Safety in children has not been fully verified, so a cautious approach should be taken when administering to children. There have been no significant severe problems reported from overdose; however, appropriate treatment may be needed, such as vomiting or gastric lavage. This drug should be kept out of reach of children and it is advisable not to transfer it to other containers. It is recommended to undergo eye examinations during long-term use, and caution should also be taken due to the possibility of bacterial overgrowth in the stomach due to decreased gastric acid secretion.
