Precautions

This medication should not be used in certain patients. Those who have had allergic reactions to this drug or its components should avoid taking it. It is not to be administered to patients who exhibit sudden drops in blood pressure as it may worsen symptoms. Patients with severely impaired liver function should not be given this medication as it may increase blood concentration. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should also avoid taking it. Patients with severely impaired kidney function should use this medication cautiously as it may increase blood concentration. Older individuals may react differently to the drug, requiring careful observation. Patients taking antihypertensive drugs or specific cardiovascular medications, as well as PDE5 inhibitors (erectile dysfunction treatments), should be cautious due to the risk of side effects like hypotension from interactions. Particularly, patients taking alpha-1 blockers should not generally use this drug together due to the potential for significant blood pressure reduction, and it should only be used carefully when absolutely necessary. The medication contains components that can cause an allergic reaction, so patients sensitive to these components should be cautious. This medication may cause various side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, headache, low blood pressure, irregular heartbeats, indigestion, skin rash, etc. Particularly, there may be cases of sudden drops in blood pressure resulting in loss of consciousness, so if any unusual symptoms occur, the use of the medication should be stopped immediately, and a doctor should be consulted. Abnormal liver function or jaundice may occur, necessitating immediate action upon symptom presentation. Caution should be exercised to avoid overdose as this medication can lower blood pressure, and dizziness may occur upon standing; therefore, slow movements are recommended. This medication is a symptom-relieving treatment, so if ineffective, alternatives like surgery should be considered. Caution should also be taken when driving or working at heights to avoid accidents due to dizziness. This drug may interact with certain medications, so it is essential to inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking other medications. Especially, when used with strong CYP3A4 inhibitors or PDE5 inhibitors, plasma concentrations may increase, heightening the risk of side effects. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should not take this medication as its safety has not been established. Additionally, safety and efficacy in children or adolescents under 18 years have not been confirmed, hence it is not used in these populations. Older patients may have decreased kidney function, so treatment should start at a low dose and be monitored carefully. This medication is in a capsule or extended-release form, and chewing or opening the capsule may alter its effectiveness, so it must be taken as directed. It should be taken from the PTP packaging; chewing or swallowing the packaging itself may pose a risk of esophageal injury. When storing, keep it in a sealed container away from air or moisture, and store it at room temperature between 1 to 30 degrees Celsius to maintain its effectiveness.
