It also alleviates painful swelling and inflammation resulting from trauma or surgery, and helps in the treatment of infections accompanied by inflammation, pain, and fever. This medication is used to improve symptoms for a variety of inflammatory diseases.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults: Take 300 mg of dexibuprofen orally 2-4 times a day. However, do not exceed 1,200 mg of dexibuprofen per day.

Precautions

This medication should be discussed with a doctor or pharmacist if taken by those who regularly consume more than 3 drinks of alcohol a day, as it increases the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding. This medication can affect the cardiovascular system, so patients with a risk of heart disease or stroke should be particularly cautious and seek medical advice if cardiovascular symptoms appear. This medication may put strain on the stomach, so it is advisable not to take it if there is a history of gastric ulcers or gastrointestinal bleeding. Drug interactions

Do not take this medication with aspirin, other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, or high doses of methotrexate. Also avoid corticosteroids, alcohol, digoxin, phenytoin, probenecid, sulfinpyrazone, sulfonylureas, ACE inhibitors or angiotensin II receptor antagonists, diuretics, lithium, warfarin-type anticoagulants (such as warfarin), baclofen, or immunosuppressants (such as cyclosporine, tacrolimus, sirolimus).
