It also helps relieve symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome and spastic colon, and is used in children for habitual vomiting and non-infectious intestinal pain and disorders such as constipation and diarrhea. It effectively acts on various gastrointestinal-related diseases and improves patients' symptoms.

How to take

Adult dose

In adults, trimethobenzamide malate is administered orally at a dose of 100-200 mg three times a day before meals. Dosage may be adjusted according to age and symptoms.

Precautions

This medication can affect the gastrointestinal tract and may rarely cause constipation or diarrhea, sounds in the abdomen, nausea, vomiting, and impaired digestion. There may also be rare occurrences of heart palpitations, so caution is advised. It can also affect the central nervous system, and rare side effects include fatigue, drowsiness, dizziness, lethargy, and headaches. It may impact liver function, and liver enzyme levels may rise, so one should pay attention to liver health.
