Corticosteroids are used to effectively alleviate itching and inflammation arising in the skin. These drugs help reduce symptoms and improve skin conditions by modulating the immune response. Rapid relief of symptoms can be expected in skin diseases that respond well to corticosteroids. Therefore, corticosteroids are effectively used in the treatment of various inflammatory skin diseases.

Adult use

Apply a thin layer to the affected area once a day and gently rub until fully absorbed. Avoid the occlusive dressing method.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with certain skin infections. If there is a bacterial, fungal, viral infection, or skin infection caused by animals, symptoms may worsen. Additionally, individuals allergic to this medication or its components should avoid using it. Patients with otitis externa with a perforated eardrum or those with ulcers, severe burns, or frostbite may also have their skin healing hindered, so this medication should not be used. It is also not suitable for patients with perioral dermatitis, common acne, rosacea, or itching around the anus or genitals. It is safer not to use this medication in children under 2 years of age. Care should be taken when using this medication for pregnant women, women who may become pregnant, nursing mothers, children, and the elderly. Skin infections may occur while using this medication, so if any abnormal symptoms arise during use, it should be discontinued immediately and consult a physician. Long-term use may result in skin thinning, discoloration, or capillary dilation as side effects, so caution is required. As this medication can have systemic effects, regular check-ups are necessary when used over large areas for extended periods. It should not be used around the eyes, as this may lead to increased intraocular pressure or diseases like glaucoma. It is generally not used for eczema or dermatitis accompanied by skin infections, but if absolutely necessary, it must be used in conjunction with appropriate antibacterial or antifungal agents. When symptoms improve, usage should be discontinued as soon as possible, and if symptoms worsen, usage should be stopped immediately. The safety of this medication during pregnancy or lactation is not definitively established, so it should only be used when absolutely necessary and with caution during breastfeeding. In children, due to higher drug absorption relative to body weight, the risk of side effects is significant, so continuous use for more than 3 weeks should be avoided. Elderly patients also have a higher risk of side effects, so careful monitoring is necessary when used for long periods or over large areas. This medication is not for ophthalmic use and should not be used for purposes other than treatment, such as after makeup or shaving. The occlusive dressing method should not be used without a doctor's instruction, and the affected area should be cleaned before use to reduce the risk of infection. Finally, this medication should be stored out of reach of children.
