This medication is used to relieve pain from chronic arthritis conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and osteoarthritis, as well as pain associated with shoulder periarthritis, toothache, inflammation occurring after trauma, low back pain, sciatica, and pain caused by non-articular rheumatism.

How to take

Adult dose

Take 100 mg of Aseclofenac twice a day at 12-hour intervals. This medication should be taken whole, without chewing or crushing it. Adjust the dosage appropriately based on symptoms. To minimize cardiovascular side effects, administer at the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration possible.

Precautions

People who regularly consume more than three drinks per day should consult a physician or pharmacist before taking this medication. Taking this medication with alcohol may increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding. This medication may increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases, therefore individuals with risk factors such as heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, or smoking should use it with caution. It should be administered at the minimum dose for the shortest duration possible, while regularly checking for therapeutic efficacy and side effects. Additionally, patients with a history of cerebral hemorrhages should use this medication under special caution and medical supervision. This medication can cause serious gastrointestinal side effects such as gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, and perforations, so patients with a history of gastrointestinal diseases should be especially careful. Elderly patients are at higher risk for these gastrointestinal side effects and thus require more caution. Patients with active peptic ulcers or bleeding, those allergic to this medication or similar drugs, or patients with severe heart failure or cardiovascular disease should not take this medication. Pregnant women in late pregnancy and breastfeeding individuals, as well as patients with bleeding disorders, should not use this medication. Patients with impaired kidney or liver function, hypertension, asthma, and elderly individuals should use this medication cautiously and have their liver and kidney functions regularly monitored during treatment. This medication may cause side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, or visual disturbances, so it is advisable to avoid driving or operating hazardous machinery. Additionally, women planning to become pregnant should avoid taking this medication as it may cause temporary infertility with long-term use. This medication has many drug interactions, so anyone taking anticoagulants, diuretics, blood pressure medications, lithium, chemotherapy drugs, etc., must consult a specialist. If skin rash, shortness of breath, severe dizziness, or symptoms of gastrointestinal bleeding occur during use, immediate cessation of the medication and consultation with medical personnel is required. The safety of this medication in children and adolescents has not been established, therefore, it is not recommended for use. Finally, this medication should be kept out of reach of children, and it should not be transferred to another container.
