This medication is used for gastrointestinal symptoms such as stomach pain, heartburn, indigestion, and nausea.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults (15 years and older, under 80 years): Take 2 tablets at a time; if symptoms do not improve after more than 5 hours, take 2 more tablets. However, do not exceed 4 tablets (2 times a day).

Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with blood disorders, kidney or liver diseases, gastric or duodenal diseases, asthma, or autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis. During treatment with this medication, there may be a decrease in white blood cells or platelets, so caution is needed. If already using ranitidine or similar medications, care should be taken to avoid overlapping use. Patients currently taking steroids, antibiotics, chemotherapeutics, or azole antifungals should also avoid this medication. For patients with a history of blood abnormalities such as anemia, thrombocytopenia, or leukopenia, this medication may worsen blood cell reduction. Individuals allergic to histamine H2-receptor antagonists should not take this medication. The safety of this medication has not been established for children under 15 years or elderly patients over 80 years, especially the elderly, as renal function may decline, potentially resulting in stronger effects. Pregnant women or those who may become pregnant, and nursing mothers, should not take this medication, as its safety is not confirmed and it may be transmitted through breast milk, thus breastfeeding should be discontinued during use. Patients undergoing dialysis should also not use this medication. Additionally, patients with lactose intolerance or certain genetic metabolic disorders should avoid this medication due to the lactose contained in it. This medication can interact with other drugs, so patients taking other medications should consult with their doctor before careful use. Those with a history of drug allergies should also exercise caution. Patients aged 65 and older require careful judgment prior to use due to possible differences in physiological functions. Patients with symptoms such as sore throat, cough, high fever, etc., are at risk of serious infections and should consult healthcare professionals before use. It is also advisable to consult with a doctor if there is unexplained weight loss or persistent abdominal pain before using this medication. This medication contains Yellow No. 4 (tartrazine), so individuals allergic to this component should be cautious. If symptoms such as rash, itching, swelling, vomiting, headache, dizziness, muscle pain, etc., occur during use, immediately stop taking the medication and consult healthcare professionals. Urgent action is required if symptoms such as chest tightness, paleness, cold sweat, or shortness of breath occur.
