Precautions

This medication is generally not administered to patients with bronchospastic lung disease. However, due to its high beta-1 selectivity, it may be used with caution in patients unresponsive to other treatments. When using this medication, it is important to start at the lowest possible dose and always administer a bronchodilator concomitantly. Patients with allergies or psoriasis should use this medication cautiously as it may cause hypersensitivity reactions. Patients with hyperthyroidism may experience masked symptoms with this medication, and sudden discontinuation may worsen symptoms, so gradual tapering is important. This medication should not be suddenly stopped, and when discontinuing, the dose should be gradually reduced according to the physician's instructions. This medication should not be used in patients with hypersensitivity to it or those with specific heart conditions, severe hypotension, congestive heart failure, pulmonary disease, pregnant women, or children. Especially, pregnant women or those who may become pregnant should not take this medication, and nursing mothers should avoid it or stop breastfeeding. Elderly patients or those with impaired liver or kidney function should start at a low dose and be monitored closely during treatment. This medication may interact with multiple other medications, so it is essential to inform the physician or pharmacist if taking other drugs. Long-term use should involve regular checks to monitor heart function, blood pressure, blood tests, etc., to ensure no abnormalities occur. Adverse reactions such as bradycardia, hypotension, shortness of breath, skin rash, dyspepsia, dizziness, fatigue, and others may occur, and if symptoms are severe, immediate consultation with healthcare professionals is needed.
