Effectiveness in treating myocardial ischemia caused by hypertension and stable/unstable angina, and reducing the risk of hospitalization and coronary artery intervention.
This medication is used to treat high blood pressure or stable angina, a condition where blood supply to the heart is insufficient, and unstable angina, which is caused by sudden blood vessel constriction leading to myocardial ischemia. It is also indicated for patients diagnosed with cardiovascular diseases in recent angiography without heart failure or with a heart output of less than 40%, as it reduces the risk of hospitalization due to angina. Additionally, it is effective in reducing the risks associated with complications related to coronary artery interventions. This medication plays a significant role in alleviating symptoms of heart disease and improving heart health.
The oral dosage of amlodipine is 5 mg once daily, and it can be increased up to 10 mg daily based on the patient's response. Adjust according to age and symptoms.
The oral dosage of amlodipine for effective blood pressure reduction is 2.5 mg to 5 mg once daily. Doses exceeding 5 mg per day in pediatric patients have not been studied.
