Precautions

This medicine should not be used in patients who have had an allergic reaction to its components. During treatment with this medicine, serious allergic reactions such as shock or anaphylaxis may rarely occur, so if any symptoms appear, discontinue use immediately and seek appropriate treatment. Also, there may be a decrease in white blood cells or platelets, so close monitoring of the body's condition is necessary. There may be problems with liver function, so if liver enzyme levels rise or jaundice symptoms appear, the medication should be discontinued. If symptoms such as hives, rash, or itching occur, it is necessary to stop using this medicine. Caution is required as neurological symptoms such as dizziness, drowsiness, and paralysis may occur. Gastrointestinal symptoms such as dry mouth, constipation, abdominal distension, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, heartburn, abdominal pain, belching, and taste changes may also occur. If there is a noticeable increase in liver enzyme levels accompanied by fever and rash, use should be discontinued immediately. Observation is necessary as blood tests may show a decrease in platelets or changes in white blood cell counts. Additionally, rare symptoms such as breast pain, palpitations, fever, flushing, tongue paralysis, cough, shortness of breath, hair loss, and menstrual irregularities may appear. Pregnant women or women who may become pregnant should use this medicine only when the benefits of treatment outweigh the risks, as its safety is not clearly established. Breastfeeding women should avoid breastfeeding as this medicine may be passed into breast milk. Safety for children, particularly low birth weight infants, newborns, and infants, has not been sufficiently established, so caution is required. The incidence of adverse reactions in elderly patients is not significantly different from that of the general adult population, but as physical function may be reduced, more caution should be taken regarding gastrointestinal symptoms and other side effects. This medicine should be stored out of reach of children, and transferring it to other containers is discouraged as it may affect quality and safety.
