View approved original text

This medication helps improve symptoms caused by benign prostatic hyperplasia. It reduces the enlarged prostatic tissue to allow smoother urinary flow and decreases the frequency of acute urinary retention. Additionally, it reduces the cases requiring surgical procedures such as transurethral resection of the prostate and prostatectomy, thus alleviating the burden on patients. Overall, it assists in providing a comfortable life for patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia and effectively improves symptoms.

Precautions

This medication should not be used by children and women, and in particular, pregnant women or women who may become pregnant should avoid touching broken pieces of this medication. This medication can cause mental health issues such as mood changes or depression, and in severe cases, thoughts of suicide. If such symptoms appear, consult a doctor immediately. Persons with allergies to this medication or its constituents should not use it, and patients with certain genetic conditions such as lactose intolerance should also avoid administration. Pregnant women or nursing mothers should not take this medication, and pregnant women should be aware of the risks to male fetuses. The safety and efficacy in children have not been established, therefore it should not be administered to children. Elderly patients can use it without special dose adjustments, but their condition should be closely monitored. This medication reduces prostate-specific antigen (PSA) levels, so caution is needed when interpreting PSA test results.
