Precautions

This medication should not be used in certain patients. Firstly, it should not be administered to patients allergic to this drug or to those with severe myasthenia gravis. Also, this medication contains lactose, so it should not be used in patients with genetic issues that prevent lactose digestion. Caution is required for patients who need careful administration. Patients with a history of drug allergies or impaired liver function should use this drug cautiously, as liver function may worsen and careful monitoring is necessary. During the use of this medication, severe allergic reactions such as shock may occur rarely, so if symptoms appear, administer immediately and seek appropriate treatment. Liver function tests may show elevated levels, so administration should be halted if symptoms occur. It may also affect kidney function, so caution is needed if proteinuria or abnormal blood test results are observed. Allergic symptoms such as anemia, skin rash, and itching may also occur. Moreover, insomnia, drowsiness, headaches, stiffness, or tremors may arise as neurological symptoms. Gastrointestinal symptoms may include nausea, vomiting, decreased appetite, abdominal pain, diarrhea, etc., so caution is warranted. Urogenital symptoms such as difficulty urinating or feeling of residual urine have been rarely reported. Systemic symptoms such as fatigue, dizziness, and reduced muscle tone may also occur, requiring careful observation of the condition. This drug can cause serious skin abnormalities such as Stevens-Johnson syndrome, a severe skin disease. If symptoms such as fever, rash, blisters, conjunctival injection, or stomatitis appear, immediate discontinuation is necessary and consultation with a physician should be sought. Drowsiness, ataxia, and lack of energy may occur during treatment, so if these symptoms arise, it may be necessary to reduce or discontinue the medication. It is safer to avoid driving or operating dangerous machinery while taking this medication. Additionally, when used in combination with similar medications, neurological side effects may occur, so caution is needed in combination therapy. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should only use this medication if the benefit outweighs the risk, as its safety has not been adequately established. Nursing mothers should avoid this medication if possible, and if it must be used, it is advisable to stop breastfeeding. The safety of this medication has not been sufficiently proven in children, so its use should be approached cautiously. Lastly, elderly patients may have decreased bodily functions; therefore, adjusting the drug dosage and being cautious is necessary.
