Precautions

Patients who regularly consume more than three drinks a day must consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication, as taking it can cause liver damage. Additionally, this medication contains acetaminophen, and taking it with other acetaminophen-containing medications can lead to exceeding the maximum daily dosage of 4,000mg. In this case, there is a risk of liver damage, so caution is required. This medication should not be taken by individuals allergic to chlorzoxazone or acetaminophen. Patients with severe liver or kidney dysfunction and those with a history of drug allergies should use this medication with extra caution. If any allergic symptoms such as hives, skin redness, or itching occur while taking this medication, use should be discontinued immediately. Rarely, skin rashes, bleeding, or changes in urine color may occur, and very rarely, angioedema or severe allergic reactions such as swelling of the face or neck may occur. If liver dysfunction occurs, this medication should be discontinued, and gastrointestinal disorders or bleeding symptoms should be monitored carefully. Occasionally, neurological symptoms such as drowsiness, dizziness, headaches, lethargy, or excessive excitability may occur, so caution is advised when driving or operating machinery. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should only take this medication if the benefits of treatment outweigh the risks, as its safety has not been fully established. Finally, taking this medication with alcohol or central nervous system depressants can lead to increased side effects due to interactions, so caution is especially needed when taking them together.
