Pain relief for rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis (degenerative arthritis)
This medication is used to relieve pain from chronic arthritic conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and osteoarthritis (degenerative arthritis), as well as to improve pain from conditions like periarthritis of the scapulohumeral joint, toothache, post-traumatic inflammation, low back pain, sciatica, and pain due to non-articular rheumatism. By alleviating various pains and inflammation, it helps patients in their daily lives.
Adults: Take 100 mg of aceclofenac every 12 hours, twice a day. This medication should be taken whole without chewing or crushing. Adjust the dosage as needed based on symptoms. To minimize cardiovascular adverse reactions, it should be administered at the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration.
This medication may cause serious side effects such as gastric bleeding in those who regularly consume more than three alcoholic drinks a day, so it is essential to consult a doctor or pharmacist. This medication poses a risk of triggering problems related to the heart or cerebral blood vessels, so patients with cardiovascular risk factors such as heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, or smoking should carefully consider whether to take it. Individuals with a history of gastrointestinal disorders or the elderly should exercise extra caution, as this medication can lead to serious gastrointestinal issues such as bleeding, ulcers, or perforations. Those with active peptic ulcers or bleeding, those allergic to this medication or similar drugs, severe asthma patients, and pregnant women in the late stages of pregnancy should not take this medication. Patients with compromised kidney or liver function, the elderly, asthma patients, and those with hypertension need careful monitoring by a physician when taking this medication. This medication may cause dizziness, dyspepsia, skin rashes, liver function abnormalities, decreased kidney function, and other side effects; if any unusual symptoms occur, seek medical advice immediately. Before taking this medication, potential interactions with other drugs must be confirmed, especially if currently taking antihypertensives, anticoagulants, diuretics, or anticancer agents. During pregnancy, particularly in the last three months, it should be avoided as it may pose risks to the fetus; nursing mothers are also advised against its use. Safety and efficacy in children and teenagers have not been established, and its use is not recommended. Elderly patients should exercise caution when taking this medication, as the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding is higher.
