Improvement of symptoms in moderate to severe Alzheimer's disease.
This medication is used for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease in moderate to severe stages.
This medication should be taken orally once a day and at the same time every day. If necessary, it can be taken twice a day. Dosing increases in increments of 5 mg per week for the first 3 weeks. - First Week (Days 1-7): 5 mg once daily - Second Week (Days 8-14): 10 mg once daily - Third Week (Days 15-21): 15 mg once daily - From Fourth Week on: 20 mg once daily Recommended maintenance dose:
This medication should not be used in patients who are allergic to the components of this drug. It should also not be administered to patients with severely impaired liver function or significantly reduced kidney function. Patients with epilepsy or a history of seizures should use this medication with special caution. Additionally, the potential for more severe side effects exists when used in conjunction with other drugs that have similar actions, hence they should not be used together. Patients with factors that change the acidity (pH) of urine should be cautious, and it should be administered carefully to patients with heart-related diseases or uncontrolled blood pressure. This medication may cause side effects such as dizziness, headaches, constipation, drowsiness, and hypertension, and rare cases of confusion or hallucination symptoms have also been reported. As there may be potential drug interactions, it is essential to inform healthcare providers of any medications being currently taken. Pregnant women or those who may become pregnant should consult a doctor before taking this medication, and breastfeeding should be discontinued if nursing. It is not used in children or adolescents under 18 years of age, as safety and efficacy have not been established. In the event of overdose, severe symptoms such as coma, hallucinations, and seizures may occur, and immediate medical attention is required in such cases. This medication may decrease the speed of patient response and attention, thus specific caution should be taken when driving or operating machinery. Lastly, this medication must be kept out of reach of children and it is safe to keep it in its original container without transferring it to another container.

This medication should be stored in a tightly sealed container to avoid exposure to air and moisture. The storage temperature should be maintained between 1 and 30 degrees Celsius to ensure the medication's effectiveness.
