Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with bacterial, fungal, viral, or animal skin infections as symptoms may worsen. Patients who have had an allergic reaction to this medication or any of its ingredients should avoid use. Patients with eczematous otitis externa with a perforated tympanic membrane should be cautious, as healing may be delayed with this medication. It is advisable not to use in patients with ulcers, severe burns, or frostbite, as skin regeneration may be inhibited, delaying treatment. Patients with perioral dermatitis, acne vulgaris, and rosacea should also avoid the use of this medication. Patients with hypersensitivity to aminoglycoside antibiotics or bacitracin should not use this medication. This medication contains propylene glycol, so caution is needed for patients allergic or sensitive to this ingredient. Women who are pregnant or possibly pregnant, breastfeeding mothers, and children or juveniles must consult a physician or pharmacist before use. If any abnormal symptoms such as skin infections, irritation, rash, itching, dryness, discoloration occur during use, discontinue use immediately and consult a professional. With prolonged use, side effects such as skin atrophy, telangiectasia, and acne may occur due to steroids, so caution is warranted. Using this medication extensively or with occlusive dressings for long periods may lead to systemic side effects, hence caution in use is needed. In children, the larger skin surface area relative to body weight increases the risk of side effects; therefore, use should be minimized. The presence of corticosteroid components may lead to hormonal suppression, Cushing's syndrome, and hyperglycemia if used for prolonged periods or in excess. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should carefully consider the therapeutic effects and risks of this medication, and consult a professional if necessary. Care is needed when using around the eyes due to the risk of increased intraocular pressure or glaucoma; it should not be used ophthalmically. If visual disturbances occur while using this medication, it is advisable to seek care from an ophthalmologist immediately. The treatment duration varies depending on the patient's condition, and use should be discontinued as soon as symptoms improve. The use of occlusive dressings should not be done without a doctor's supervision and should especially be applied after thoroughly cleaning the affected area. This medication should be stored out of the reach of children and kept in its original container to prevent degradation and misuse.
